Spinner.com reports that a musical about Clay Aiken will debut off-Broadway in New York City on July 5th.  Idol:  The Musical is being described as a "satirical look" at the ClayMates, a term that describes die-hard Aiken fans.  This unique look at ClayMania is also being called "a soporific rendition of 'You Light Up My Life.'"  The plot of the musical revolves around characters that suffer social pitfalls due to their unwavering love of Clay Aiken.

Dammit!!!  I'm going to be out of town on July 5th!!  Why, God?!?!  WHYYYYY?!?!?!?!

Now, I know what you're probably thinking:  "This is B.S., there's no Clay Aiken musical."  I swear, I spent 10 minutes trying to determine whether Spinner.com was one of those Onion-type fake news sites, and as far as I can tell, it's legit.  So yeah, there's a Clay Aiken musical.
