The Country Music Association is launching a promotional tour for the upcoming CMA Music Festival that will land a lineup of country acts in Wal-Mart store parking lots all across The South. Among the featured performers are Craig Morgan, Eric Church, Danielle Peck, Jeff Bates, Blue County, Emerson Drive, Buddy Jewell, Ray Scott and Chris Young.

The tour begins in April and will hit nine cities in preparation for the June 7-10 CMA Music Festival in downtown Nashville.

I'm not going to speculate on the certain possible hilarity of this tour, but I will say screw all you indie kids and your pretentious "SXSW." Country music keeps things infinitely more real. I mean hey, nothing says "spring concert series" like the sound of shopping carts being collected, souped up mufflers and low, low prices.

Here's the list of cities the tour is scheduled to stop in:

Atlanta, Georgia
Birmingham, Alabama
Charlotte, North Carolina
Charleston, South Carolina
Fayetteville, Arkansas
Jacksonville, Florida
Memphis, Tennessee
Orlando, Florida

Raleigh, North Carolina
