A Manhattan judge busted (sorry) prosecutors' hopes of consolidating all of Busta Rhymes' recent legal troubles.
As we've reported on extensively throughout the year, Busta is facing two assault charges, a drunk driving charge and a charge of driving on a suspended license all stemming from separate incidents in the last twelve months.
The assistant district attorney handling the case had sought to tie the driving charges to one trial and assault cases to another, but Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Larry Stephen denied the motion.
The D.A.'s office also again put forth a plea deal that would have the rapper serve one year in prison, covering all cases, but Busta declined. He said no to a similar deal at his last court date.
