Bucky Covington is quickly becoming the next American Idol-produced superstar. The Cov has already sold 100,000 copies of his self-titled debut, which landed at the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Country Chart a few weeks ago.

These figures make Bucky "2007's biggest unit debut from a new country artist," in addition to the fact that these are also the best first week sales for a new male country artist since Billy Ray Cyrus. 100,000 copies sold doesn't sound so great anymore, does it Buck? But hey, who knows, you might just end up getting voted off "Dancing With the Stars" or starring in a Disney show.

In other Bucky Covington news, he recently donated his autograph, on a hand-written lyric sheet for "A Different World," to the Opry Trust Fund, who auctioned it for $4,005, according to a press release.
