After months of seeing new Britney Spears songs surface on the web, the entire Blackout album is supposedly now available.

I've heard a majority of the songs, but they were mostly demo versions and they were awful (refering to the sound quality, not the songs themselves). I could not find the actual album online; however, I did find some links to other people who have heard it. So yeah, I have no opinion, but this guy I know...

There's a track-by-track preview of Blackout at VH1.com, which can be seen here. This is a description of the album rather than a review. VH1 also has a great Britney quote from Pharrell:

She's going through a lot that people don't recognize. You got to understand, she was a child star and she's held on way longer than most people can. You got to understand the pressure. Her record is cool, but you got to give her a second to get things back together. You're seeing a reality show that no one's producing, that no one's directing, and that's a problem.

If you're looking for a review of Blackout, there's one at Idolator, which describes the album as being "not nearly as bad as you may have thought, or been led to believe." I don't know if that's good or bad news for Britney fans, but given what we know about Britney, it doesn't really matter if the news is good or bad, as long as there's news.

In today's edition of The Britney Downward Spiral Update, Spears has turned herself in to L.A. police to face hit and run charges from earlier this year.
