The band's Cities debuted at #19 in March -- the second highest debut for Christian label Tooth & Nail -- and with slow, steady sales, they've finally surpassed the 100,000 mark.
The fascinating thing about this is how differently success is measured by different bands. These guys, months out, sell 100,000 and it's a huge deal. Which it is, considering they don't have mainstream radio/MTV play. That said, at the same time, Velvet Revolver sells the same amount in one week and people act like they failed at life.
I bet Anberlin would be jumping for joy if they sold this in one week, rather than four months, but in reality? These days, most bands would be happy with either scenario.
