Alice in Chains will be performing four special all-acoustic shows later this summer. The band is touring with Velvet Revolver, but will fit these acoustic gigs in during off-days.

Milwaukee, WI (The Rave) - August 31
St. Louis, MO (Pageant) - September 1
Austin, TX - September 29
New Orleans, LA - October 1
The band is working on a new album, though no release date has been set.
Since this album can't possibly be as good as the Layne Staley-era AIC, can they just change the band name, please? Even a slight change like Alex in Chains would be fine, just to make it clear to everyone that this is a different band and one of the great singers of the 1990s is no longer present.
