The bassist will be playing the part of ex-Hate Eternal bassist Randy Piro, Jr., on the band's new album. Alex has long been friends with Hate Eternal's guitarist Erik Rutan, who produced the last Cannibal Corpse CD, so the partnership was natural.
Hate Eternal recently signed with Metal Blade Records, and this album will be their first offering on the new label. According to Blabbermouth, Erik said, ""This record needs and deserves the best, and I think Alex is the best bass player I know."
Sounds good to me; and it seems like a great way to draw attention to the band's new efforts, as well.
