Aerosmith will jump into a studio on November 1 to begin work on an as yet untitled album. The band hasn't selected a producer or a studio but they hope to have it out by March of 2008.

Guitar player Joe Perry said the band was looking forward to being in the studio and that Columbia's new guardian angel, Rick Rubin, will be involved "in some capacity."

Perry said they have plenty of bits and pieces of new material, but finishing it up is "just a matter of getting together and rehearsing the stuff."

In other Aerosmith news, the band is currently working with the makers of "Guitar Hero IV," the game's Aerosmith-themed version. The band played last night, Thursday, September 6, at Fashion Rocks in New York.
