Aaron attempted to rejoin underOATH last night, after having "minor surgery" on a thumb blister, but was unable to play drums, and as such, will remain off the tour for an indefinite period of time. What the hell was he doing with his thumb to cause such a serious injury? It's kind of amazing, when you think about it... an infected blister has effectively sidelined the man for who knows how long?
Aaron posted an explanation [though left out something that makes sense like, "I put my raw, blistered hands in raw sewage" or "I am actually a zombie rotting from the inside out"]:
so hey everybody this is aaron, as some of you know i have missed the last six shows due to a minor surgery that i had on my right thumb last week. Your thoughts and prayers have been rad and i really have begun to feel better...
so.....today i flew out to Portland,Or. to rejoin the tour...
no the bad news, we sound checked and my thumb began to feel like it was going to fall off and as you know you have to have a thumb to play drums. so to make this short i have to fly back home for more recovery, kenny from the almost is going to continue to fill in for me until i make a full recovery.

Eloquent dude. Anyway, here's hoping his thumb doesn't fall off.... Then again, Jesus did like to cure lepers, so maybe he'd be better off if he had leprosy. I don't think the big guy cares so much about infected blisters.
