About a week ago, rapper T.I. and his bodyguard were arrested when the bodyguard was caught attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers. The bodyguard admitted to purchasing 26 guns for T.I. and his posse.

I didn't think this case could get any more ridiculous. Here's what we already had to take into account...

1) He bought silencers. Who buys silencers with good intentions?

2) He bought TWENTY SIX guns, and these were machine guns. That's almost enough artillery to equip the entire Delaware police force.

3) He's a famous rapper and he didn't have a posse member take the fall for him. I thought T.I. was a pretty big-name rapper, but if you're getting arrested and you don't have a posse member to take the fall, well then you haven't really made it.

So yeah, it seemed like things couldn't get more outrageous. But now, a blogger from Atlanta named Sandra Rose claims she is being intimidated by T.I.'s people because of recent posts on her blog. Here is what Rose had to say:

Last Friday, I received a call from an Atlantic records exec who informed me that T.I.'s lawyers were discussing amongst themselves the fact that the judge read my blog and was "very angry" by what he read. The exec indicated that the judge may have been angry enough to alter his decision to release T.I. on house arrest last Friday. The exec asked me to "be more sensitive" about what I wrote regarding T.I.

I agreed to comply with the record exec's request but later that same night I heard from two others in T.I.'s camp who said T.I.'s lawyers informed them that if T.I. isn't released this coming Friday it will be my fault.

You can read the rest of Rose's blog here. I scanned her past T.I. articles, and couldn't find anything particularly "angry." She did reveal certain aspects of the rapper's case (via her inside sources) before they were available to the general public, but c'mon, if revealing inside info was illegal then Perez Hilton would be serving 25 to life right now.

I have no inside sources when it comes to T.I., so I don't know what's going on with his defense team. Are they trying to finagle their way out of these charges by claiming interference from a blogger? If so, that's a brilliant plan and other lawyers are going to be pissed they didn't think of it. The only problem is that T.I.'s bodyguard was caught BUYING TWENTY SIX GUNS AND SILENCERS. If he were only buying 14 guns, this might have worked, but 26 is just too many. Also, T.I. is a convicted felon, so that's working against him. Much like T.I.'s cameo on Justin Timberlake's "My Love," this defense sounds good at first and then makes no sense when you think about it. However, the silver lining is that, if T.I. does beat these charges, his street cred will be insane and his next album should sell 10 million copies.
