10 Years posted a studio update on their MySpace blog today, which says they've written almost 40 songs for the new album and it has left them feeling like "we don't know our heads from our asses."

"We have been (what feels like) face down in the dirt working on our next album. I have to say, I never thought that writing and creating a second record would be this dramatic and difficult. It's really strange when you start a band to have fun and create music for your own amusement and then all of a sudden it turns into a multi-faceted, multi-million dollar business where every single breath you take is now monitored by someone, somewhere, and for some stupid reason," Vodinh wrote.

He said plans with the first production team they selected have fallen through, so the band is currently looking for someone to produce their next album. The sales pitch?

"We have songs that you people wouldn't believe. When I say that, I mean, I'm being 100% dead serious. I mean, come on, you didn't really expect us to write 40 songs that sound just like they should have been on the Autumn Effect did you!?", Vodinh asked.

He continued on that the band would update again once they've selected a producer and a recording location.
